    • Are a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) or early-career clinician

WHO THIS IS NOT FOR

THE ROLE

As a contractor with DayOne Therapy, you will:

  • Provide individual therapy sessions

  • Build a consistent caseload over time

  • Receive referrals from the practice

  • Participate in case consultation and clinical guidance

  • Be part of a high-standard, premium private-pay environment

You maintain:

  • Clinical independence

  • Your own external supervision

  • Responsibility for your professional development

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor role.

COMPENSATION

  • $67.50 per completed session

  • $33.75 per no-show / late cancellation

Paid:

  • 15th and 30th of each month via Zelle

Billing:

All billing and payments are handled through SimplePractice.

Clients are billed weekly, and all clients maintain a card on file.

WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE

  • Referrals and client placement support

  • Structured onboarding and training

  • 2 shadow days with Practice Owner

  • Ongoing case consultation (not licensure supervision)

  • Administrative systems already in place

  • A professional, organized environment

This is designed for clinicians who want to focus on clinical work—not chasing paperwork and chaos.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Notes completed by Friday at 5:00 PM

  • Professional communication with clients and Practice

  • Adherence to all Practice policies

  • Willingness to grow clinically and professionally

  • Respect for structure, boundaries, and accountability

No note = no pay.

We keep things clear and consistent.

REQUIREMENTS

You must maintain:

  • Active license in New Jersey

  • Professional liability insurance

  • Your own clinical supervisor

  • Required CEUs and professional compliance

You are responsible for maintaining your own licensure standards.

PROFESSIONAL PRESENCE

You will be featured on the DayOne website and must provide:

  • Professional headshot

  • Professional bio

Optional but recommended:

  • Psychology Today profile (self-paid)

We will assist with setup and optimization.
