The Story Behind This Book

Why I Had To Write What Most People Avoid

This book didn’t start as a business idea.
It started as a breaking point.

It started with the quiet truths parents whispered in my therapy room.
The tears.
The shame.
The “I never told anyone this before…”

And the sentence I heard over and over again:
“I wish someone had protected me.”

As a trauma therapist, I sat across from adult survivors who were six years old in their memories. Seven. Eight. Still stuck in the moment when no one noticed. No one intervened. No one gave them language.

And I kept thinking…
Why are we waiting until children are broken to teach them protection?

So I created what I couldn’t find.

A book that doesn’t just teach “good touch vs bad touch” —
but teaches children to trust their bodies, their voice, and their instincts.

This isn’t just a children’s book.
It’s a cycle-breaking tool.

The Truth No One Likes To Say Out Loud

Unsafe touch doesn’t always look “obvious.”
It looks like family.
It looks like friends.
It looks like people we trust.

It happens during holidays.
Sleepovers.
Car rides.
Doctor visits.
And now? Even through screens.

And the hardest part?
Most adults don’t know how to explain it — so they avoid it.

Silence doesn’t keep children safe. Information does.

Why This Version Is Different

This new Rhyming & Expanded Edition goes even deeper because the threats have evolved.

We now address:
• Doctors and medical boundaries
• Grooming behaviors
• Digital dangers & online predators
• Internet safety
• Manipulation disguised as “niceness”
• What to do when something feels wrong

This book isn’t about fear.
It’s about power.

It gives children the words adults wish they had.
It gives parents the structure they’ve been afraid to create.

The Sound Bites Parents Whisper… And Finally Say Out Loud

❌ “I thought they were safe… it was someone we knew.”
❌ “I didn’t even know how to start the conversation.”
❌ “I wish I learned this when I was a child.”

✅ “My child now calls things out confidently.”
✅ “We finally had the conversation I avoided for years.”
✅ “This book gave me language I didn’t realize I needed.”

From Survival To Protection

This book is my love letter to the child I used to be…
and a shield for the children growing up now.

Because prevention is easier than healing.
And protection is love in action.

If even ONE child feels safer…
If even ONE parent feels more equipped…
Then this book has already done what it was meant to do.

From Me To You

I’m not here to sugarcoat.
I’m here to protect.

This isn’t about perfect parenting.
It’s about brave parenting.

The kind that says:
“We’re talking about the hard things… because your safety matters more than my discomfort.”

And that?
That’s how cycles break.

One Year. One Mission. Stronger Protection.

  • I wanted to reach out to thank you for your two incredible books on unsafe touch and healing after unsafe touch. I recently bought both and they are such good tools! I'm a child welfare SW and I have lots of experience in the field but recently my daughter experienced unsafe touch and I was devastated. I felt like I had failed my daughter even with all the education we have done with our kids. I had some tools I could reach for but I needed more. After the incident I came across your IG and your books and I bought them immediately. What a Gd send. My husband and I have been using them with our daughter. The other night my husband read the book to her several times (her request) and it prompted her to ask a lot of questions and relay what had happened to her. Thank Gd she seems to be doing well and your books have been key in healing this difficult situation and empowering her! Thank you for all your dedication and care for children

  • “The webinar and book are so impactful. It empowers parents and children to have those necessary conversations.”

    Vanessa B.

  • I really like that it’s a parent read along and allows for the child to express their feelings as they go through each page, and it keeps the parent engaged and coaches them to offer support in those moments. I almost snapped my fingers (in a good way) when I read the “how to use this book” section because the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. And I love that it includes a safety plan guide and questions at the end to keep the conversation going. The book covers wide range of emotions and feelings, I’m really glad to see isolation in there since that’s a big symptom. I also really like that the book reinforces that the child is not alone in this. I think the act in having the book and reading it in the first place shows that the parent cares about what their child is going through ❤️ if I were the child and this book was read to me, I would feel very supported and loved, and closer to my parent by the end of it.
